This was such a unique and fun project. When clients have a bold vision, it can be so rewarding to bring it to life. The original home had its own distinct character, filled with unconventional angles, dark corners, and painted beams. Our approach involved stripping away the green paint from the original beams, allowing the natural wood to shine through, while embracing the unique architectural angles. We strategically opened up the spaces to enhance the flow and natural light, resulting in a truly transformative design.
A standout feature is the open, floating staircase, which serves as a central anchor for the Living Room. Not only does it create a striking visual element, but it also defines the division between the Living and Kitchen areas, maintaining a seamless sightline between the two. This design choice ensures that the spaces remain connected while adding a layer of functional elegance. The entire project reflects a perfect balance of bold choices and thoughtful execution, bringing new life and vibrancy to the home while staying true to its original charm.
