BROWNE ST KITCHEN
I hold a special place in my heart for small spaces. There’s something uniquely satisfying about crafting a design where every inch matters. These compact environments demand intentional planning and thoughtfulness to ensure that the space not only functions efficiently but also stands out in its aesthetic appeal. I love the challenge of making small spaces feel open and inviting while maximizing utility and creating visual impact.
One of the most exciting aspects of working with smaller areas is the freedom to experiment with bold finishes, vibrant colors, and dynamic patterns. Because the scale is contained, you can push the boundaries of creativity without overwhelming the space. That’s exactly what we embraced in this project. This sweet family dreamed of a home that celebrated natural materials while still daring to stand out through bold finishes and intricate details.
The result is a space that feels warm, inviting, and refreshingly unique. Every choice—from the wood grains in the cabinetry to the playful patterns in the tile work—reflects their personality and vision. We layered textures and colors thoughtfully, balancing the organic elements with a boldness that breathes life into the design.
This project was featured in 1889: Washington Magazine, showcasing not only the design but also the importance of embracing creativity and intention in small spaces.
